these beautiful eggs were handcrafted by a women that works in the kitchen at the hospital.she is from lithuania.painted easter eggs are an artform native to eastern europe.
vera ,the creator of the eggs was a medical doctor before she came to this country.it is a long and arduous process to become certified here and for whatever reason she chose not to do that.
i marvel when i see her passing trays .she seems so content in her work.
a wonderful reminder that all work is dignified and that to have reliable work is a gift these days.

The eggs are spectacular! Thanks for sharing them with us. It is truly an artistic gift to be able to paint these eggs like this.

And you're right, any work is honorable and worthy.

Beautiful eggs and wonderful words, giving the artist credit for her work. I always tell my students to find work that they enjoy, it's much more important than the money or prestige.
