its so cold out and so cozy inside.

i made my last trip to the train station and am enjoying the warmth and quiet of the house before the work week starts.

computer problems yesterday.

i hope you all had a happy thanksgiving.

we had a happy family day with much food,football and quite a few laughs.

that trophy almost escaped me completely.i just sat down to relax a few minutes before bed and i remembered the "competition".oh no, i almost forgot.

i have no energy creative or otherwise left in me so i took a picture of my goodnight snack.

a little wine,pretzels and a clementine.

these old glasses always remind me of my dear old dad .he was an optician when it was more of an art form and much of the work was done by hand.

this is the piano i learned to play on.my grandmother bought it for us hoping to have a musical grandchild.there were six of us and i think i can safely say the "gift"escaped our generation.the flute is the one my youngest son andy learned to play on.his teacher said he was the best flute student she ever taught.unfortunately, he did not stay with it.but wouldn't it be great if gram could have heard him play!

it's tuesday and that means something special happens at the polidores.

we have ashley for dinner and transport to and from voice lessons and coral group.

i am in charge of dinner and joe is in charge of transportation.

it is ridiculous how much joe and i look forward to this .we discuss menu ,set a pretty table with candles and eat things like tacos and icecream sandwiches:)

i was able to catch a quick picture as ashley and pop pop headed out.

cold,barren promising of the winter weather and snow to come.

i love it.

i really can't explain my love of november but to me there is something beautiful and pure about it all.

well, i believe i have hit bottom.

but,i did play with my camera and discovered how to take black and whites and a few other little tricks which i am afraid you will all be subjected to sometime soon.

one more day on call.

looks like i am going to make it!

actually i have enjoyed the alone time and the time i spent with all of you.

i hate sick children.

really,nothing is more stressful in my profession than caring for sick kids.

there is so little room for error and the whole hospital experience can be so traumatic for both child and parent.

fortunately, in a small community hospital we rarely see little ones with serious illnesses.

we have a few tools and toys:) to make their experience more pleasant.

well, i have quite a challenge.i am on call all weekend so i probably will be spending most of my time at smh.we'll see what i can come up with.

today i took a picture of "corn bags for sale".the colors caught my eye and they have a bit of a storey.jayme's mom made them and is giving the proceeds towards jayme's africa fund.don't look for any fuzzy ones because i bought them all:)

another busy day.

where does the time go?

my granddaughter spent some time with me after school/work and we had supper together.

i took her to dance class and picked her up after.(wonderful to spend any time with her,esp 1 on 1.)

well,i am certainly not feeling the inspiration that i was yesterday! anyways,just like many situations in life just showing up is somehow an accomplishment:)

i took pictures of my winter boots which are sitting ever ready at the back door.one with flash and one with natural light.i also hit the front stairwell again.

included will be one of the museum..............

i hope you all do the same so we can share more of our field trip pictures.
