i was home alone all afternoon and spent my free time in the kitchen. i cooked some turkey pieces so i could make my thanksgiving gravey and made my vodka cream sauce. (gotta have some type of pasta:) gravey is pretty good,vodka cream sauce very good! also made some turkey soup. such a nice feeling of accomplishment. i so look forward to having my family together for the holidays.

all in all, a peaceful day at home.

big mistake!

i left home without my camera today and was gone all day long and saw so many wonderful sights that i did NOT capture.

so.........when we got home my poor husband had to drive me around in the rain and the dark looking for someting to shoot.

the results are less than average but my desire to stay in the competition is stronger than my pride.

today is my oldest child's 35th birthday.joey was the most beautiful baby i have ever seen!he has brought us much joy.we celebrated at his house and then went to watch our granddaughter ashley's play.

as you can see cameron stole the show:)

i was on call again last night but did manage a visit to one of my oldest and dearest friends and her husband.it was john's birthday this week(84).he has suffered much this last year but found the energy to entertain us with his considerable charm.

those short days of fall are here and i welcome them but it still surprises me how early it gets dark.

i was on call yesterday so a late posting.

i got up early so i could vote before work.

in those early hours i felt emotional about placing my ballot,knowing this was an historical election that we were participating in.
